Windows 10 Mobile is a massive improvement over Windows Phone 8.1. Currently, only Windows Insiders get to have their hands on these features and they also get to provide feedback to Microsoft, which is amazing.
Nothing like this (getting software access too early) has happened before in the software world. For fans of Windows, this is the holy grail.
Now, lets dive into the features
1. Outlook mail : This is a huge improvement over Windows Phone 8.1's mail app. Microsoft's accomplished acquisition has a direct impact on this app. With swipe to archive and flag option, dark theme and Microsoft Word integration, this is the most complete mail app according to Microsoft.
2. Brand new Settings app : The settings app in 8.1 was kind of a mess. You'd know this if you're a user of 8.1. There was no proper organization in the layout and no search functionality as well. Thankfully all of this has been improved in Windows 10.
3. GIF's in Photos app : Yeah, finally you can see GIF's within the photos app which is universal as well.
4. Cortana text and call notifications : This is Huge. Imagine you're with your PC and you've forgot the phone at home. Cortana will notify you all the messages and calls you're getting. And the best part is you can reply the texts.
5. Display settings : There's this cool feature which can turn large sized phones like Lumia 930, 1520 into tablet mode using this setting. Head to display settings and you can find a slider which controls the size of your text, apps and items on your display.
6. Slow Motion in camera : This is limited to the 930 and 1520 as of now. Grab the latest update for camera app and shoot slow motion videos on your Lumia which was previously not possible.
7. Gapless playback in Music app : Yes, Finally we have this feature which was much requested. Microsoft updated the groove music app couple weeks back which included gap-less playback.
8. Actionable notifications : Now you can finally reply your text messages without opening the app straight from the action center.
9. Voice Texting : With windows 10 mobile keyboard, you have the option to finally let your mouth do the texting.
10. New background in Muti Task window : Windows 10 mobile has got a gorgeous animation for multi-task window which will show your background picture and in large sized phones will show four sets of windows.
